The Seahawks announced their inactives before the week four matchup versus Cardinals. Once again, Rashaad Penny will be unavailable.

There is some good news and some bad new for the Seahawks as far as injuries go in week four versus the Cardinals. It appears that edge rusher Ziggy Ansah will be able to play but it remains to be seen just how much he will. But Seattle will be without Rashaad Penny again.

Penny missed week three with a hamstring injury. He practiced this week and coach Pete Carroll was hoping he would be able to play against Arizona. Penny won’t. Arizona is terrible against the run and Penny might be needed greatly should Chris Carson continue his fumbling woes. Carson has three official fumbles on the season and last week was taken out. C.J. Prosise replaced him.

Prosise replaced Carson because Penny was not available. Penny was very good in week two and the former first-round pick appeared to be settling in. Now he will miss an untold amount of time. Seattle does have a short week, though, so maybe the hope is that Penny will return against the Rams on Thursday.

Seattle will also be without receivers Gary Jennings and John Ursua (both these players are likely healthy scratches), safeties Marquise Blair and Adrian Colbert, cornerback Neiko Thorpe and offensive lineman Ethan Pocic.

It would be nice to see Blair start playing some meaningful snaps soon as 12s are hoping he is the long term solution at safety. But like Jennings and Ursua, we are kind of waiting to see what he can do.

L.J. Collier should also get some snaps on Sunday. This means, except for suspended Jarran Reed, all of the Seahawks’ expected impact players for the 2019 defensive line will be available to them against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.
