Both the Seahawks and the Rams are 3-1 entering week five. Here is what to watch for and how to see what you are watching.

The Seahawks are tied for second place in the NFC West at 3-1 with the Los Angeles Rams who have the same record. Los Angeles is, of course, last year’s Super Bowl runner-up and played poorly in that game. They appear to have some lingering side effects from that game.

This past Sunday, the Rams gave up 55 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay did score a defensive touchdown so really the Rams gave up just 48 points. (Yes, I am being sarcastic there.) The Seahawks, meanwhile, were playing a bad Arizona team and while they scored 27 points, just 20 of them were offensive.

If Seattle wants to beat Los Angeles, the Seahawks need to score more points on Thursday. Because the Rams are going to score points, most likely through the air. Seattle did play Los Angeles closely last season in the two games the teams played. But this year’s teams are different.

Todd Gurley seems slowed by an arthritic knee. Seattle’s offensive line is still struggling in the running game, even though Chris Carson ran for over 100 yards on Sunday. The point I am trying to make is that if Seattle wins, it will be because once again Russell Wilson put Seattle in a position to do so. If Wilson has an off game, the Rams will win by 21 points.
