Jadeveon Clowney and Ezekiel Ansah loving life as Seahawks

Seahawks defense was solid everywhere

Mychal Kendricks had an excellent game after something of a whiff versus the Saints. Kendricks had two sacks and two more quarterback hits. Throw in five solo tackles, two of them for a loss, and an assist, and he had a very big game for the Seahawks. He definitely did his share to stake the Seahawks claim to the best linebacker corps in the league.

Ezekiel Ansah was another player who turned it up for the Seahawks in this game. His first sack for Seattle sack did come on the final play of a 27-10 victory. As such, it was one of the least important sacks ever. But it capped a very solid performance. After recording zero stats in his debut last week, Ziggy had five solo tackles including one for a loss and two quarterback hits. That’s a stat line 12s will be happy to see again and again.

Jadeveon Clowney hadn’t shown up much in the stat sheet since his big first half versus the Bengals in week one. He changed that with the biggest defensive play of the young season. Clowney tipped Kyler Murray’s pass, snagged it with one hand, and took it 27 yards to the end zone to complete his pick-six. It was the first interception of his career, and it was beautiful.
