The Seahawks are 4-1 through the first five games of 2019, nearly a third of the way through the season. Here are Seattle’s best players so far.

I thought the Seahawks might be 3-2 or 2-3 at this point in the season. My expectation was that Seattle would lose to the Saints and Rams and possibly the Steelers. So far, on the Saints bit has come true and that is only because Seattle did nearly everything horribly in that game and still lose by just six points. Seattle is a good team.

One reason that Seattle has exceeded expectations, at least mine, is that some players have taken on bigger roles and been great. In fact, I expected the 2019 rookie class to be pretty good this season and help Seattle win some games. Mostly, that hasn’t been the case. And that is almost a positive.

The fact that some unforeseen veteran production and has occurred and seems to be long-term means Seattle is set up for late-season success too. Once the rookies get a bit more time and (hopefully) begin to develop, the Seahawks will have even more quality depth.

I have three players listed here as Seattle’s best three players through the first five games of 2019. One of these players, maybe all three, will certainly not be a surprise. Check back in five more games, though, and I bet two of these players are different. Again, that is a good thing. There is nothing wrong with a lot of quality.
