Russell Wilson, duh

I could spew a lot of statistics at you that would back up how great Russell Wilson has been in 2019. In fact, here you go. Wilson currently leads the NFL in touchdown passes with 12. But Wilson is 19th in pass attempts. Wilson is second in completion percentage at 73.1 percent. In quarterback rating, Wilson is 126.3, per ESPN. The next closest quarterback is Deshaun Watson at 115.9.

There is also the fact that Wilson has yet to throw an interception this season while being under pretty decent pressure a lot of the time. Tom Brady has thrown two picks. Aaron Rodgers has thrown one. OK, I will give you the fact that Patrick Mahomes hasn’t thrown an interception either but he trails Wilson in touchdown passes thrown. And he has thrown the ball 41 more times.

Wilson might not always make national pundits top five quarterbacks. But I will tell you this: A lot of those people must be idiots. Russell Wilson has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for the last 8 years and he will be for the next 8 years.

Next. Seahawks beat Rams! Yay!. dark

The Seahawks simply are not 4-1 without Wilson. Or probably even 1-4. Wilson makes Seattle viable and a playoff contender and without him they are bottom five in the NFL.
