The Seahawks will be without a couple of players on their offensive line versus the Browns and that spells big trouble in week six.

The Browns are better than 2-3. They most likely believed the hype that surrounded them this preseason. The Seahawks will travel to Cleveland for a week six matchup where Seattle is now battling injuries at a position that will go against one of Cleveland’s biggest advantages over Seattle.

Cleveland’s defensive line features beastly Myles Garrett, former Seahawk Sheldon Richardson and very good Olivier Vernon, among others. That front would normally face Pro Bowler Duane Brown (bicep) and D.J. Fluker (hamstring) of Seattle. But not on Sunday. Fluker and Brown are both likely to miss week six as they are listed as doubtful.

Completely out for Seattle is Ethan Pocic. Pocic was placed on injured reserve and is probably done for the season. Heck, he was even lucky to make the team and may never play for the Seahawks again. Without Pocic, Brown and Fluker, Seattle would be down three offensive linemen against a good Browns defensive line. This could be the difference in the game.

Rashaad Penny, also dealing with a hamstring injury, is questionable for Sunday’s game. Penny has yet to stay consistently healthy or productive in his short career. At some point in the future, he will be needed. Let’s hope he is ready when that game comes.

Cleveland had three players listed on the injury list. Cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams are questionable as well as tackle Kendall Lamm. Maybe Russell Wilson will be able to work his magic behind a beat up line where he can somehow exploit Cleveland’s somewhat hobbling secondary.

In fact, for Seattle to win on the road in week six, Wilson will need to be great. Cleveland has to assume the Seahawks will try to use Chris Carson a bunch. But this game will once again come down to Wilson as it almost always does for Seattle. Most of the time, Wilson is good enough.
