The Seahawks moved to 5-1 with a win over the Cleveland Browns in week six. it wasn’t always easy so it was classic Seattle.

Do you remember, 12s, when the Seahawks trailed the Browns 317-6 in week six? No? Well, it felt that way, didn’t it? But Russell Wilson does what Russell Wilson does and Seattle did what it needed after trailing 20-6 (for reelz) and defeated Cleveland 32-28.

Once again, Wilson was once again near-perfect. Seattle’s quarterback went 23 of 33 for 295 yards and two touchdowns passing and one running. Wilson is having an MVP-type season and has yet throw an interception but has thrown 14 touchdowns.

The game started off badly for Seattle as they fell behind 20-6 after allowing the browns to score three touchdowns on their first three drives. This looked like it was going to be a long game for Seattle. As it turns out, the game was a long one at over three and half hours. Some of that was due to penalties and coaching challenges and turnovers.

The game had five turnovers overall. Thankfully, Cleveland had four of those. Baker Mayfield threw three interceptions, not all of them his fault. Seattle had the one turnover on a C.J. Prosise fumble that could have changed the game. It didn’t.

Seattle’s defense allowed just 8 points after there was 14:54 left in the second quarter. Give credit to Ken Norton Jr. for scheme changes he made. And thank Cleveland’s receivers for not being able to catch well at times. Mayfield threw those three picks but two of them bounced off the hands of his receivers.

What really matters, however, is that Wilson was great again and so was Chris Carson. Carson ran for 124 yards on 24 carries and scored a touchdown. He unloaded on poor Browns defenders in the fourth quarter when they tired just as he did in the previous two weeks. Carson is back and that should be scary for Seattle’s opponents.

Things weren’t perfect for Seattle. The early defense was bad. Jason Myers had two bad kickoffs and a missed extra point. Michael Dickson had a 23 yard punt from his own end zone that helped set up a Browns touchdown. But at the end of the game, the Seahawks improved to 5-1 because their defense got better, Cleveland turned the ball over and Seattle has Russell Wilson. Most weeks that is enough and it was in week six.
