The Seahawks put out their inactive list for week six against the Browns, among the players is left tackle and Pro Bowler Duane Brown.

Russell Wilson, for most of his career, has gotten used to playing behind a not-good Seahawks offensive line. The last year or so, however, his line is a bit better than it used to be. But on Sunday against the Browns, Wilson will not have his best offensive line mate on the field. Seattle will be without Duane Brown. That is bad.

Seattle put out its inactives list ahead of Seattle’s showdown with Cleveland. Among the group of players who won’t play for Seattle is Brown. Also, D.J. Fluker is out. Jamarco Jones was really good after Fluker left with injury in week five against the Rams, but Jones will need to prove he can be good again before 12s can assume Jones is the long-term answer to who will replace Fluker as guard.

The funny thing is, of course, that Jones, prior to week five, had never played guard in the NFL so let’s not get ahead of ourselves and think he will simply be really good for the rest of eternity. He will have some growing pains like every new player does.

George Fant, who at least has experience at left tackle and was pretty good replacing Brown in limited time against the Saints, will take Brown’s place on Sunday. Fant seems to be a great guy, a good teammate and now he needs to be good on the field.

Seattle will also play with no Gary Jennings and John Ursua. No surprise there as they haven’t played yet this year. Rashaad Penny? Yep, he will not play either and has not consistently been available in his short career. Branden Jackson and Akeem King are also out. The best rookie for the Seahawks this year might be Ugo Amadi, so he might need to play a bit versus Cleveland. let’s hope he is good at nickel.

A huge key to the Seahawks versus Browns will be Seattle’s offensive line versus the Browns solid defensive front, especially when it comes to pass rush, with Cleveland players like Myles Garrett. If Jones and Fant can be good on Sunday, Seattle will win. If they cannot, the Seahawks will lose.
