I have been writing recently about trades the Seahawks should look to explore to acquire talent. This article goes through four players I can see us trading away to build our draft capital.

WR: David Moore

David Moore was picked in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL draft out of East Central. He founds a home with the Seahawks who covet players with speed and size. Moore sits at just over 6 foot and ran a 4.42 40-yard dash. While his rookie year was more or less a red shirt year. He really blossomed as a Red Zone threat in year two where he started 7 games and caught 26 passes for 445 yards and 5 TD’s.

Why the Seahawks may trade him away:

Moore has been averaging right around 30% of the snaps on the season. He has been battling time with the other two possession wide receivers Malik Turner and Jaron Brown. Moore thus far is sitting right around WR4. While he has big play potential any time he gets the ball, this is also his final year of his contract before hitting restricted free agency. Moore will likely generate a good bit of interest. It may be smart to try and sell while his value is still relatively high considering how far back on the depth chart he sits.

Why other teams will trade for him:

Through the first seven weeks of the season Moore has 7 catches for 98 yards and 1 TD with zero drops. His mantra is always making the first man miss, where he does a really nice job of getting yards after catch. Moore has shown he has strong hands when thrown to and is a good blocking wide receiver. If he were put into the right position, he has the chance to truly blossom into something special.

Top destination:

Panthers: Rumors have been swirling in recent days that the Panthers are in the market for a WR, namely Emmanuel Sanders. Unfortunately, the 49ers beat the them to the punch and acquired Sanders Tuesday afternoon. Right now, the only consistent pieces on offense would be the do it all running back Christian McCaffrey, and wide receiver DJ Moore. David Moore could be the perfect complement; the Panthers need a deep threat and David Moore excels in this role. By acquiring possession receiver David Moore who has both size and speed, it would allow the Panthers to spread the ball out which will open up holes for the other players to utilize.

Others potential Trade destinations:

Saints, Eagles, Ravens
