The Thursday injury report for the Seahawks features a bunch of offensive linemen. For a team trying to rebound from a bad loss, that isn’t good.

The Seahawks enter week 8 of the regular season 5-2. That might sound great, but it also seems to be misleading. Seattle has beat a bunch of bad teams by close scores and got basically blown out in the second half in week 7 versus the Ravens. Seattle needs a win in week 8 but might be lacking a few offensive line pieces.

Listed on the Thursday injury report for Seattle is right tackle Germain Ifedi (knee issue and did not participate in practice), left tackle Duane Brown (biceps issue and limited in practice) and tackle George Fant (shoulder problem and limited in practice). That is two starters and one player who has started at times.

The Seahawks also didn’t have safety Lano Hill (elbow) nor defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson (oblique). Hill is a bit of an odd man out now that Seattle has traded for Quandre Diggs and Tedric Thompson was getting more snaps than he was anyway. Jefferson has been one of Seattle’s better defensive linemen this season and will be missed should he not play in Atlanta.

Limited in practice for Seattle were safety Bradley McDougald (which is a positive that he might play on Sunday), Tre Flowers, Ziggy Ansah (someone who can’t be relied on week to week at this point) and Diggs. Diggs is probably just learning the defensive plays at this point.

At least Seattle had a healthy Russell Wilson. Seems like Wilson showed up on the injury list this week maybe for giggles. Or to scare the crap out of 12s.

dark. Next. Who should the Seahawks let go of via free agency in 2020?

The Falcons are hurting. Not only is Atlanta 1-6 and Seattle should beat them, but they could be without quarterback Matt Ryan too. If the Seahawks lose to the Falcons in week 8, even if it is on the road, they will have no excuses.
