Want to know more about the Seahawks’ week 8 opponent, the Falcons? Here are 5 questions about Atlanta with Blogging Dirty’s expert Jeff Benedict.

The Seahawks play the Falcons on Sunday in Atlanta. Atlanta may be basically out of the playoff picture being 1-6 so far in 2019. But with Matt Ryan at quarterback anything is possible for the Falcons. Of course, the same can be said for Seattle with their quarterback Russell Wilson.

Seattle needs a win after their bad loss to the Ravens in week 7. Will they get it? To find out more about the Falcons, I asked five questions to Jeff Benedict, expert of FanSided’s Falcons blog, Blogging Dirty.

12th Man Rising:  How good is Matt Ryan? I mean, he puts up big numbers on a team with a bad record. He deserves better right?

Jeff Benedict: I get this question a lot. It is crazy that after 12 years and numerous NFL records, people still ask this question. Matt Ryan is a first-ballot Hall of Fame player. He has put up big numbers for most of his career with and without Julio Jones. Without question, Matt Ryan deserves better. During his 12 years, he has had a decent offensive line just once and he took the team to a Super Bowl that year. He has also had a defense ranked in the top 15 just twice during those 12 years, yet Matt has had more playoff appearances and more wins than any other quarterback in franchise history. Side note, every team that has beaten the Falcons in the playoffs under Matt Ryan has gone on to win the Super Bowl.
