. Previous: 6th. Matt Stafford. 8. player. 50.

Matthew Stafford is such a tease. He charms us all with his big arm and surprising athleticism, only to ultimately fall flat when it matters most. Stafford is a good QB and I would love to see what he could do in a functional organization.

Stafford is almost permanently stuck in this 6-10 range for NFC QBs, at least until he has playoff success or a few of the veterans ahead of him retiring.

. Previous: 7th. Jared Goff. 7. player. 51.

Give him a clean pocket and a decent run game and he can beat you. Get any kind of pressure on him and shut down the run and he shuts down. Jared Goff is a fine QB but with his offensive line and the safety net of Todd Gurley deteriorating around him, his game has suffered.

I think Goff on an average team is a 6-8 win quarterback. He plays with a super talented roster and an offensive genius, but the bill will soon come due on the LA Rams and when Goff is asked to pick up the slack, he may not be able to do it.

I want to like Matt Ryan. In fact, I do. He is a good quarterback. But this year he already has more ints than he did all of last season and he’s only played 7 games. Ryan doesn’t have the excuse of lack of weapons as he has Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Austin Hooper, Devante Freeman, and until recently, Mohammed Sanu to throw to.

Ryan has been asked to win a lot of shootouts which may be leading to him throwing more interceptions. The offensive line, in which the Falcons have invested heavily in, has been a disappointment. The Falcons are a mess this year and Matt Ryan’s game is suffering.

54. . . Previous: 3rd. Carson Wentz. 5. player

Last time around, I had Wentz ahead of Dak and mentioned it was probably a bit hypocritical of me. Well, fast forward 4 weeks and… yeah, it was. Since the last ranks, Wentz hasn’t been great and looks nowhere near where he did in his MVP caliber season in 2017.

He is still awesome to watch and looks a lot like a younger Ben Roethlisberger (minus the off the field issues). I’m still a believer in Wentz, but until he becomes more consistent, I have a hard time trusting him. But that upside will keep me in trouble.
