Tyler Lockett

Has Lockett really overcome his leg contusion from a few weeks ago? Seattle’s best receiver was having a year where he was going to shatter the Seahawks receiving records for a season. But the last two weeks Lockett has just 64 yards receiving combined and just four passes caught. This after a week 9 game where Lockett had 13 catches on 18 targets for 152 yards against the Buccaneers.

The fewest yards Lockett has caught in each game in 2019 have come in the last two weeks. Has he began to recede and were his numbers actually better than he was for most of the first part of 2019? Maybe. Or maybe not.

Lockett played like a number-one receiver in 2018 and he started off that way in 2019. Minnesota has a very good defense but they have also given up a lot of passing yards at times too. Over their last three games the Vikings have given up 21 explosive passing plays of 16 or more yards and that is tied for the second-most in the NFL.

Seattle needs Lockett to get back to his week 9 form (and heck, his entire 2018 form) and get a few explosive plays on Monday. If he can do that, Seattle will have a good shot at winning.
