The Seahawks not only moved to 10-2 with a defeat of the Vikings in week 13. But Seattle came through relatively unscathed as well.

The Seahawks are a lucky group. I don’t mean to jinx the team because Seattle has been fortunate in a lot of ways this season. But to be as healthy as they are heading into a week 14 showdown against the Los Angeles Rams is a good thing. This is a trend I hope continues.

Ziggy Ansah

Ansah has had a mostly rough year, but in the last two weeks he has been very good. Against the Eagles and Vikings, Ansah has 5 quarterback hits and 1.5 sacks. Maybe he hasn’t been worthy of a big contract after this season, but he still has value for 2019. Keeping him healthy is a needed thing.

Near the end of the Seahawks defeat of the Vikings in week 13, Ansah appeared to injure his surgically repaired shoulder. According to coach Pete Carroll, the issue is “a problem.” But Carroll went on to say Ansah “bounced back” and he hasn’t been ruled out of any future action. Check in closer to Sunday’s Rams game to see how Ansah is doing.

Tyler Lockett

Lockett has been dealing with a leg injury from a few weeks ago and then had the flu last week. He hasn’t been great the last three games and the Seahawks will need him to be great the rest of the year. But at least he appears to be healthier for Sunday’s game after overcoming the flu.

Other than Locket and Ansah, the Seahawks seem to have come out of Monday night’s game decently. And now that up to 8 Seattle players will have gotten over the flu, like Tre Flowers, the Seahawks could be even more ready to get the one win they need to clinch their playoff spot for the 2019 postseason.
