Offense

The Seahawks gained 308 total yards against the Rams, but most of that came late. For three quarters, Seattle had less than 200 yards of total offense. That won’t win a team many games.

Quarterback

Through nine games of 2019, Russell Wilson had 22 touchdown passes and one interception. But in the last four games, Wilson has four touchdown passes and four interceptions. In fact, he has thrown an interception in each of the last four games. Is he hiding an injury? It wouldn’t be surprising if he was.

Against the Rams, Wilson was sacked five times – one of them clearly his fault when he held on to the ball too long – and completed 22 of 36 passes for 245 yards and went without a touchdown pass for the first time in 15 games. Wilson just seems off right now.

Running back

At times it seemed like Chris Carson was making yards on his own. Carson ran for 76 yards on 15 carries, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He wasn’t the issue with Seattle’s offense. But just as Rashaad Penny seemed to be getting better, he suffered a sprained ACL is likely lost for the season. Seattle needs to find a replacement for Penny and C.J. Prosise isn’t it.

Grade: B

Receivers/tight end

This is another group that underperformed in many ways. Malik Turner dropped a first down pass on a first half fourth and short attempt. Jacob Hollister dropped one on the next drive on third and short that would have also gone for a first down. The Seahawks punted instead. Turner also had a potential touchdown pass go right by his head as he never turned around to look for the ball. D.K. Metcalf had a great 33-yard catch but also got bated into a bad personal foul penalty that made it first and 25 for Seattle.

Grade: D

Offensive line

The interior of the Seahawks line was a concern going into the game and that concern bore out over the course of the game. Wilson was under constant pressure and a lot of it was right up the middle. Seattle averaged just 4.9 yards per pass and allowed Wilson to get hit 11 times.
