player. 28. . WR. Las Vegas Raiders. Henry Ruggs. 16

Man the Raiders actually appear to be building a pretty solid team as they inch closer to abandoning the city of Oakland for Las Vegas. But one glaring weakness is any kind of serious speed outside.

The Raiders have been unable to replace Amari Cooper and while Hunter Renfrow had a nice rookie season, they need more help for Derrick Carr. Adding Ruggs gives Gruden his own Tyreke Hill like talent and combining that skillset with Josh Jacobs, Darren Waller, Renfrow and Carr could make the Raiders offense one of the best in the AFC.

46. . EDGE. Indianapolis Colts. Terrell Lewis. 17. player

Another team in the middle of the draft who have to ask a serious question about their QB situation. Jacoby Brissett appears to be a solid average NFL starter, but is that good enough to win a Super Bowl? I have my doubts.

But here the Colts take the edge rusher they need to counter Deshaun Watson in Terrell Lewis. The first round is littered with players from Alabama and for obvious reasons. Lewis is a great cog in the Crimson Tides front 7 and should provide 8-10 sacks on a regular basis for Indianapolis.

Ken Murray. 18. player. 28. . LB. Las Vegas Raiders

Again, the Raiders appear to be building a solid squad under the direction of TV personalities Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden. Okay, that was harsh. But not as harsh as the Raiders LB corp inability to cover in pass defense.

Murray is a tackling machine at Oklahoma, and thanks to the spread it out nature of the Big 12, he is well versed in the zone principles needed to handle the middle of the field. Murray is big and fast and while he lacks the thump of the likes of Bobby Wagner, he has all of the coverage ability.

Tennessee Titans. Tee Higgins. 19. player. 35. . WR

Another team in the middle of the draft who has a question at quarterback. Let’s assume the Titans are locked into Ryan Tannehill for 2020. This means they need to surround him with weapons to dethrone the Houston Texans.

Derrick Henry is great and I’m still not ready to give up on Corey Davis, but man, this Titans offense lacks some serious firepower. Higgins reminds me a bit of Josh Gordon, who has the size and speed to turn slant routes into big gains while also beating defenses over the top for touchdowns.

52. . CB. Jacksonville Jaguars. Kristian Fulton. 20. player

If Jacksonville’s plan is to return to the physical nightmare they used to be, they’ll need to improve their defense. After taking the best linebacker in the draft with their selection, they now use the pick they got for Jalen Ramsey to replace him.

Fulton has all the tools to be an excellent complement to A.J. Bouye and give the Jags one of the best cornerback tandems in the league. Fulton’s size, speed, and physicality should help replace what Jalen Ramsey took with him… hopefully without any of the extra baggage as well.
