The Seahawks and 49ers play on Sunday and the winner will win the NFC West. Here is what to watch for and how to see it all unfold.

A lot of things have changed since the Seahawks and 49ers met in week 10. San Francisco has seen the return of tight end George Kittle and Seattle has lost Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny, but also re-signed Marshawn Lynch. If you happen to have fallen asleep halfway through the season do not adjust your television set when watching the game. You have not reawakened in 2014 with Lynch in the backfield.

Seattle at one time was shortly the number-one seed in the NFC. Now San Francisco is. If the 49ers win on Sunday, they will remain the number-one seed. But if the Seahawks win and the Saints and Packers win, Seattle could only be at most the number-three seed. Win or lose, Seattle is playing a game next weekend, the only questions are when, where and against whom.

If Seattle loses by 13 points or more, they will end with a negative point-differential for the season. Odd for what would be an 11-5 team. Also strange is that Seattle would have gone just 4-4 at home.

But let me be positive for once. No one really expected Seattle to be 11-4 or 12-4 or 11-5 at the end of 2019. This has been a good year no matter what happens in week 17 and next year could be even better. If the Seahawks play their best game of the season, if Russell Wilson is on and Jadeveon Clowney is the force he was when the two teams played in week 10 and Lynch gives an emotional boost, Seattle can win this game. But if they come out as flat as they did against the Cardinals in week 16, they will lose by three touchdowns.
