Reggie Corbin: RS Senior RB, Illinois

When you think of Corbin, the first thing that comes to mind is explosive. He is about as dynamic as you can get in terms of quickness, suddenness, and long speed. Once in open field, there are very few people who will be able to catch him.

Seattle loves its power backs, however, change of pace backs are imperative. As it is currently, we run straight up the field the majority of the time. By adding a player with the athleticism of Corbin, it would allow Seattle to expand the playbook and get some outside rushing in the game plan. This could be the factor missing that could tilt Seattle’s run game from very good, to the best in the league.

He projects as a specialist/3rd down back in the NFL. He lacks the size and strength to be a pass blocker. However, as a kick returner and a 3rd down back he has the chance to become a star. Over his Junior and Senior years, he averaged 6.5 yards per carry and amassed 16 touchdowns.

His game reminds me of Tarik Cohen with the Chicago Bears. Both players were nicknamed “The Human Joystick” due to their suddenness, cuts, and long-range speed. Corbin, like Cohen, has good field vision and has no problem cutting back on the play to create positive yardage on a dead play. They are both great competitors and have hot motors.

Next. Three Seahawks that must be good in 2020. dark

He is a guy I would love to see the Seahawks draft, if for no other reason, plug him directly in as the punt/ kick returner. This would get Lockett out of there to avoid unnecessary injuries. He has the athleticism to excel in this role with a chance to become a star.

Player comparison: Tarik Cohen
Draft projection: 7th round
