What would a Seahawks trade for Judon look like?

As was mentioned earlier, Seattle is sitting with 6 draft picks in the first 4 rounds. Seattle could pair a high draft this year with an early-mid day 3 pick next year to seal the deal. This would allow Seattle to acquire another talented defensive lineman to pair with Clowney without having to go through the bidding war of free agency.

My proposed trade:

As occurred with both Dee Ford and Frank Clark, I would expect an extension to be in place before the trade is finalized. This ensures Judon will stay in Seattle past the 1-year rental on the franchise tag. My valuation on what to expect Judon’s contract to look like will lie between Za’Darius Smith (4 year, $66 million) and Trey Flower (5 year, $90 million).

My projected deal for Judon and the Seahawks:

Player               Terms                     Signing Bonus       Guarantee          Avg Salary

Judon             4yr, $70 Million       $15 Million           $25 Million        $17.5 Million

Next. 5 free agents Seahawks should target. dark

This would put his first-year cap hit right around $10 million. If Clowney accepted my proposed deal (here) his cap hit next season would be $12 million. This would leave Seattle with another $38 million in cap space to help fill other holes and extend key players, like Shaquille Griffin. This trade could prove to be the win-win that bother Seattle and the Ravens are looking for.
