2020 NFL Mock Draft: 2-round projection
By Geoff Shull
NFL mock draft, picks 13 through 17
13. Indianapolis Colts: Javon Kinlaw, IDL
The Colts had one of the worst run defenses in the NFL last season. Kinlaw is about as dynamic of an athlete as you can get. He can play both the run and the pass. His mixture of power, agility, bend and pass rushing moves has his ceiling in the realm of Aaron Donald on the inside. Kinlaw should be an impact rookie from day 1. This could prove to be the steal of the draft.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Josh Jones, LT
Jones is about as raw as they come, however, he has the potential to be an All-Pro. Overall, Jones is a offensive line coaches dream. His physical gifts are apparently as soon as you see him step on the field, he simply needs work on his technical refinement. Its pretty much like building a car from scratch while having all the parts available from Maserati, Bugatti, and Rolls Royce. Given enough time to develop and he could prove to be one of the best in the draft.
15. Denver Broncos: Henry Ruggs III, WR
With the Broncos turning over the leaf on the offensive side of the ball, its time to get their young quarterback a weapon that could truly maximize his potential. There are rumors that Ruggs should run a sub 4.3 40-yard dash. Between his lightning fast speed, soft hands and functional athleticism he would be the Broncos perfect compliment to Drew Locke’s powerful arm.
16. Atlanta Falcons: Jeff Gladney, CB
The Falcons have plenty of quality talent on defense. Its simply time to start complimenting their talents with similar players. Jeff Gladney is about as physical of a cornerback as you can get. He is more than willing to cover tight ends, running backs and big wide receivers. His feet are lightning quick and his tackling is sound and boy, oh boy, does he like to hit. In Dan Quinn’s system, he could blossom into one of the best cornerbacks in the game.
17. Dallas Cowboys: Grant Delpit, S
The Cowboys finally get their safety. Its humorous to me seeing so many projecting Xavier McKinney before Delpit, Delpit may have faded from the media spotlight but he is night and day the better player all around. The Cowboys will get an enforcer in their secondary, he is more than willing to hit the line of scrimmage. He has the versatility to play both man and zone coverage. Delpit would be the tone setter that the Cowboys desperately need.
