Round six, pick 35 (214th overall) – Benito Jones, defensive tackle. Mississippi

With the Seahawks sixth round, I have them going with another defensive lineman. Honestly, I don’t think Seattle will be lucky enough to get Benito Jones here, but there is a chance they may. Jones isn’t going to do much more than run stuff. He did get 5.5 sacks last year but translating that into the NFL will be more difficult.

Jones doesn’t have tons of explosiveness, but he is super strong. In fact, he is probably already stronger than a lot of professional offensive linemen. Jones could be an anchor in the middle of the Seattle line for several years.

Undrafted free agents

Our friends at Inside the Loud House did their mock of which Syracuse Orangemen would go where and they had linebacker Lakiem Williams ending up in Seattle as an undrafted free agent. I like this idea and am going to put it here too. Williams isn’t overly fast but he is active and Seattle likes those kinds of players.

dark. Next. Should the Seahawks trade for Von Miller?

Mason Fine is a quarterback who isn’t that tall. Sound familiar? The Seahawks clearly don’t have issues playing shorter quarterbacks. Fine is also athletic and doesn’t turn the ball over a lot. In other words, he would make for a solid backup.
