Seahawks land five on the NFL All-2010s team

The NFL and the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its All-2010s team Monday. Four players who played with the Seahawks are listed plus coach Pete Carroll.
On Monday, the NFL along with the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the All-2010s team. 52 players are on the list because an NFL currently consists of 52 players. Two coaches were also on the list. The Seahawks were well-represented, as they should have been.
Of the four Seahawks on the list, two did not play for Seattle in 2020. That would be Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas. But I am counting them as Seahawks because the vast majority of important downs Sherman and Thomas have played in their careers were with Seattle. Both will probably make the Hall of Fame and if the NFL had players wear helmets during the induction ceremonies, both Sherman and Thomas should go in as Seahawks.
Marshawn Lynch also was one of four running backs mentioned. Lynch has played with other teams, of course, but his most memorable and important years were with Seattle. Lynch ended 2019 with Seattle and may not play again. If he doesn’t, playing his last down with Seattle is the right ending to his career.
Bobby Wagner is the only player who one can safely assume will be with Seattle for the next several years. Wagner, in my opinion, is the best linebacker in the NFL and has been for quite a few seasons. Wagner should make the Hall of Fame too one day.
The last member of the Seahawks organization on the list is coach Pete Carroll. Carroll led Seattle to the playoffs eight times during the 2010s, including, of course, the Super Bowl-winning year of 2013. Carroll yet another Hall of Famer? Should be.
Seattle led all NFC West teams in representatives on the team as they should have, Seattle was the most successful team in their division in the decade. Let us hope it goes the same way in the next decade too, and the decade beyond that and the decade beyond that.
