The Seahawks have 7 picks in the 2020 NFL draft. That will change as John Schneider wants more. Here are three trades Seattle should make.

7 picks. This is what the Seahawks have in the 2020 NFL Draft as of Saturday. But 12s all know this number will change and probably often as the draft drags on from Thursday to Saturday. But what about before the draft as teams jockey for better draft position. Seattle should make some trades then as well.

In fact, due to the NFL draft being completely virtual this year due to COVID-19, teams won’t be in the same zipcode as other teams’ executives. This means there could be more moves prior to the draft. Someone can place a call just as easily now and they can on Thursday during the first round of the draft. Teams might still be trying to figure out how to even work a virtual draft on Thursday.

The Seahawks have several needs in the 2020 draft. Edge rusher is probably the biggest need, but Seattle also needs a running back, defensive tackles and offensive linemen as well. Maybe even throw in a backup quarterback in the late rounds just for fun.

There will be a bunch of moves all through the league in days leading up to the draft and during the draft and Seahawks general manager John Schneider will be involved in many of them. Most will not pan out but some will. So who might the Seahawks trade with before the NFL draft? Here are three guesses.
