Following the 2020 NFL Draft the chaos really began as the Seahawks were rumored or reported to sign many undrafted free agents. Here is the list so far.

The Seahawks have been a team that has been lucky enough to have several undrafted free agents (UDFAs) be very productive members of the team over the last decade. Doug Baldwin was one, of course. Current Seahawks Poona Ford is another. The list is lengthy. So as far as who signs with the Seahawks after the draft that group can be important too.

Here are the players that have either been reported or confirmed to have signed with Seattle.

Quarterback Anthony Gordon, Washington State

Gordon was the second-most accurate quarterback in college football last year, just behind Joe Burrow, as far as catchable passes. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero first reported that Gordon was going to sign with Seahawks and the Spokesman-Review confirmed it. Gordon doesn’t have a cannon for an arm, but he is accurate and feisty. Sounds like a good backup to me.

Tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson, Tennessee

According to All for Tennessee, the Seahawks signed yet another tight end in the person of Wood-Anderson. Wood-Anderson is a big guy at 6’4″ and 260 pounds but he wasn’t extremely productive in college. Maybe Seattle sees him as a George Fant-type.

Running back Patrick Carr, Houston

Carr’s school confirmed that he will be signing with Seattle via Twitter. Carr isn’t big at 5’10” and 200 pounds but maybe Seattle sees him as a capable third-down back?

Linebacker Eli Mencer, Albany

Mencer is so unknown that Sports Reference doesn’t even have a page for him. According to the University of Albany sports site, though, Mencer is 6’1″ and 230 pounds and had – and this is nice – 14.5 sacks and 24 tackles for loss in 2019.

Cornerback Gavin Heslop, Stony Brook

Sticking with a New York school, the Seahawks are reportedly signing Heslop, according to the school. The school site says Heslop is 6’1″ and weighs 200 pounds. He seems to play the run well enough but oddly never had an interception in college.

Cornerback Kemah Siverand, Oklahoma State

Another odd cornerback who never had an interception in college. Siverand is the same size as Heslop. One reason Siverand might not have ever had an interception in college is he only played in 13 games. Total. Weird. Oklahoma State tweeted that Siverand had signed with the Seahawks.

Running back Anthony Jones, Florida International

Jones ran for nearly 900 yards in 2019 and scored 9 touchdowns. He is 5’11” and 220 pounds so about the size that Pete Carroll likes in his running backs. FIU tweeted that Jones had signed with the Seahawks.

Receiver Seth Dawkins, Louisville

Dawkins wasn’t overly productive in college with 94 in four years, but he did have a solid 16.1 yards per catch. In 2019, that number was 21.8. He is also 6’3″ and 220 pounds so that helps. Dawkins himself tweeted about the signing.

Defensive tackle Josh Avery, Southeast Missouri

According to Avery’s school, he is going to sign with Seattle. The school’s site says Avery is 6’4″ and 320 pounds, so he is big enough to play. He isn’t going to sack many quarterbacks, though, and is a run-stopper only.

Tight end Tyler Mabry, Maryland

Yes, another tight end signing. Seattle now has 593 tight ends on the roster, it seems. I am completely unsure why Seattle feels like they needed to add four tight ends via the 2020 draft process, but they did. Mabry is 6’4″ and 250 pounds.

Safety Chris Miller, Baylor

According to Baylor, Miller is signing with Seattle. Miller is small for a safety at just 190 pounds, so maybe Seattle is looking at him as a potential nickel.

Defensive tackle Marcus Webb, Troy

Per Troy’s tweet, Webb is signing with the Seahawks. Webb is 6’3″ and 280 pounds, so a little small for a tackle, but he did have 7 sacks in 2019 to go along with 9 tackles-for-loss.

Receiver Aaron Fuller, Washington

Next. Darrell Taylor is going to be good for the Seahawks. dark

The Seahawks seem to always pick up a Husky during the draft process. The Seattle Times confirmed that Seattle signed Fuller. He is perfectly suited for the slot and had 159 catches in his college career, including 59 in 2019. He is 5’11” and 190 pounds.
