1. QB Anthony Gordon

At this moment, the Seahawks only have two quarterbacks on the roster. This isn’t an uncommon scenario for Seattle, but we often know a bit more about who the No. 2 behind Russell Wilson is. Regardless, I don’t think we have too much to be concerned about in this year’s situation.

Filling that backup quarterback spot at this moment is Anthony Gordon, an undrafted rookie out of Washington State. While I’m sure many Seahawks fans are familiar with him due to either their allegiances to the Cougars or the Huskies, it can be a bit discomforting when a guy who couldn’t even get drafted is the top option behind Wilson.

Let me put your mind at ease.

Gordon is an exciting quarterback prospect, regardless of what happened during the 2020 NFL Draft. Honestly, it’s a bit baffling he didn’t hear his name called. While there were concerns about his stats being inflated as a result of playing in WSU’s Air Raid offense, it was crystal clear that Gordon offered significant potential given his physical tools and productivity.

Once training camp gets underway, we’ll see the talent that helped Gordon throw for 5,579 yards and 48 touchdowns last year — both good for second in the nation. Sure, there will be plenty of mistakes along the way. It’s to be expected for a rookie quarterback. Make no mistake, though; Gordon will shine during training camp, giving the Seahawks plenty of reason to keep him around.
