Ever heard the saying, “It’s time to put up or shut up?” That’s the situation these Seattle Seahawks players find themselves in heading into the 2020 campaign.

The Seattle Seahawks have plenty to accomplish in 2020. They’re coming off a 2019 season during which they overcome underwhelming expectations to come within two games of the Super Bowl. This team has talent and is more than capable of making another run this year.

If that’s going to happen, though, the Seahawks need all of their young, high-upside players to deliver. However, as we all should know by now, the NFL is a business. Teams like Seattle can’t wait around forever for their investments to pay dividends. Sooner or later, patience runs out and difficult decisions have to be made.

That will be the case for a number of Seahawks players in the coming months.

Often, we call this a make-or-break season. In Seattle’s case, I can think of at least three specific players who are headed into one of these. It’s obviously not an ideal situation for them on a personal basis, but again, that’s the way life in the NFL works. If you can’t deliver on a consistent basic, then it’s a next-man-up mindset.

As fans, we always prefer to see players excel for the Seahawks. Unfortunately, that’s not the reality of things in the NFL (or even sports in general). It’s time for the following players to get with the program, or get shown the door.
