There’s still plenty of NFL talent available. The Seattle Seahawks would be wise to give these former players a call before 2020 training camp gets under way.

The Seattle Seahawks are contenders in 2020. That’s just an opinion, but it’s one held by many. While that may be the case, that doesn’t mean they’re ready to trek their way back to the top just yet. Based on the current roster, more capable contributors may be needed to make a legit run.

Unfortunately, seeing as it’s already nearing the end of May, the free agency pool has just about dried up. Most of what’s left out there is unproven or aging talent. Apart from a few stars who haven’t gotten the money they were hoping for (I’m looking at you, Jadeveon Clowney), almost all of the difference-makers are off the market.

And yet, that doesn’t mean quality options can’t be found if you dig deep into the free agency bin. Taking it a step further, the Seahawks could discover some quality options out there who they have a history with.

It’s not like they haven’t taken the “re-signing former players” route in the past. Last season, they brought back Marshawn Lynch before their playoff run. Then, this offseason, they welcomed Bruce Irvin, their 2012 first-round pick, back to Seattle.

So why not do it again? These former Seahawks players are available and ready to make an impact if Pete Carroll and John Schneider decide a reunion is in order.
