WR Paul Richardson

Admittedly, this may be a bit of a bias inclusion to this list.

Since his days at Colorado, I’ve always been a huge Paul Richardson fan. I was so sure that he was bound for nothing short of greatness in the NFL. There were brief flashes of it during his time with the Seahawks, which only heightened my confidence in his ability to develop into a star receiver.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. After a breakout 2017 campaign in Seattle, Richardson jumped ship to join the Washington Redskins. Since then, Richardson has had a rough go of things. He’s been slowed by injury (playing in only 17 of 32 possible games), hauling in a lackluster 48 receptions for 508 yards and four touchdowns along the way.

That certainly wasn’t the type of production the Redskins paid him for.

Well now he’s a free agent, and it’s unclear what the future holds for his NFL career. However, I’d imagine a return to the Pacific Northwest would do wonders for the once-dangerous receiver. Don’t remember what I’m talking about? Here’s a quick reminder:

In D.C., Richardson was a victim of poor quarterback play as much as health issues. Catching passes from Russell Wilson would be like putting on his favorite pair of comfy pants after discovering their had been misplaced in the wrong drawer.

The Seahawks boast plenty of size out wide this season, and the speedy David Moore is wildly inconsistent. Bring Richardson back and let him pick up where he left off in 2017.
