Who Starts?

This, of course, could change with the resigning of Josh Gordon, but with the current roster, I expect the starters to be Tyler Lockett in the slot with Metcalf and Moore on the outsides. Dorsett will get some opportunities to play on the outside and the slot, and maybe we will see some Tyler Lockett deep routes along the sidelines now that Seattle has another option in the slot with Dorsett.

Who’s cut?

First off, I don’t see a Gordon signing influencing anyone other than David Moore, as his big price tag and cap hit of zero means that if Gordon is signed, Moore is the likely candidate to get cut. As I just mentioned Dorsett will make the roster, and joining him will be Freddie Swain and John Ursua.

This means that Sullivan, Fuller, Dawkins, Hart, and Thompson are cut. While it will be the end of the road in Seattle for Fuller, Dawkins, and Thompson, it will not be curtains for Sullivan and Hart.

Hart’s film and potential really impress me, and I think it will impress the Seahawks enough to keep him around the team and carve out a future roster spot, similar to David Moore’s career path.

As for Sullivan, his insane size, versatility, and potential as a red-zone threat will keep him in Seattle and he could be a practice squad call up for an injured tight end or receiver.

Swain can win the punt return job and will catch a few passes this season, and Ursua will get another shot at cracking the rotation and producing more big catches.
