Carolina Panthers: RB Christian McCaffrey

I’m sorry, but they’re really weren’t that many upper-tier players worth considering on the Panthers roster. I was looking to add more talent on defense, but most of their talent resides at linebacker, where the Seahawks are set.

So instead, I decided to yet again grab another elite offensive talent with Christian McCaffrey.

Yes, the Seahawks already have Chris Carson headlining their gaggle of running backs. While that may be the case, he’s coming off a fractured hip and hasn’t proven himself to be the most durable of options. Meanwhile, McCaffrey has yet to miss a game since entering the league in 2017 despite receiving nearly 1,000 touches during that time.

On top of durability, McCaffrey also brings with him today’s ideal skill set for a running back. Not only can he produce big numbers on the ground (4.8 yards per carry, 15 rushing touchdowns in 2019), but he’s a superstar receiver out of the backfield. In each of the last two seasons, he’s amassed over 100 receptions, and broke the 1,000-yard mark this past season.

Even when Carson gets back to full strength, teaming him with McCaffrey would give the Seahawks one of the best running back duos in the NFL. No team would be able to slow down the Seattle offense — especially with Jones, Lockett and Metcalf out wide.
