Chris Carson

For the last two years, the Seahawks have enjoyed surprising success from Carson, the team’s 2017 seventh-round pick. He’s turned out to be a hidden gem, consistently putting defenses on their heels with his vision, power and bruising running style.

Unfortunately, it’s also led to durability concerns for the Seahawks’ top runner. Although he’s only missed three regular-season games in the last two years, Carson is routinely banged up and is now coming off a hip fracture that brought his 2019 campaign to an early end. He’s expected to be ready for the start of the 2020 season, but that doesn’t mean he’ll make it through all 16 games.

Him missing time is regrettably what I’m predicting will happen. Carson won’t suffer another season-ending injury (knock on wood), but he will miss a few games as the bumps and bruises accumulate. As a result, he fails to receive as many touches as he has during the last two years.

Despite that, he still manages to crack the 1,000-yard mark for the third year in a row — barely. He also ups his production in the passing game, as underneath routes open up with the presence of more weapons in the receiving game and a dependable veteran option at tight end.

2020 Stat Predictions: 215 carries, 1,004 rushing yards, 9 rushing TDs, 40 receptions, 330 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD
