4. Can Chris Carson stay healthy?

Carson has dealt with injuries his whole career, but hopefully, 2020 can be different. During his senior season at Oklahoma State Chris missed four games due to a thumb injury. During his breakout rookie season, he then broke his ankle which would put him on the IR and force him to miss twelve games.

In 2018 he would again miss time due to injury, but only two games. Then, in 2019 he would suffer a fractured hip and would miss the final game of the season and both playoff games.

On the bright side, after each injury, Carson seems to come back better, faster, and stronger. The major downsides are that this will forever paint Carson as being injury-prone which will be huge as he heads into the final year of his contract, as well as the other downside being that the Seahawks can’t necessarily count on Carson to be healthy for at least thirteen or so weeks plus the playoffs.

It is also unfair to say that the injuries come without the Seahawks’ influence, as they basically ran Carson into the ground the past two seasons with their “establish the run” offense. Seattle led the league in rushing in 2018 and was fourth in the league in 2019.
