1. Russell Wilson

While I may be stupid about many things, like everyone else I know who the Seahawks most important player is and it isn’t close. Russell Wilson has to play for Seattle to win many football games. Wilson makes the team better than the sum of its parts.

With Wilson, the Seahawks are good enough to make a run at a Super Bowl. Without Wilson, Seattle could very easily finish last in the tough NFC West. If Wilson were to get injured early in the season, Seattle might not win four games.

But Seattle has been amazingly lucky that their quarterback has never missed a game in his eight-year career. Wilson has missed only two practices, and neither of those was due to injury. Hopefully, Wilson never misses any time but if he did Seattle would not be able to overcome his loss.

Wilson has the second-highest passer rating in the history of the NFL. He trails Aaron Rodgers by a percentage point. Wilson is nearly 3 percentage points better than Drew Brees who has the third-highest QBR ever.

Next. Three missed opportunities for the Seahawks this off-season. dark

Picking Russell Wilson has the most important player on the 2020 Seahawks team might be obvious, but it is also the only correct answer. If Seattle lost any other player they would not suffer anywhere close to the amount that they would if the Seahawks lost Wilson.
