Who starts?

There will be a lot of competition at the top. Good competition? no, but competition nonetheless. I see Bruce Irvin winning the starting job at the beginning of the year, but maybe towards the end of the season, a younger candidate might steal the role. Rasheem Green will round out the DE starters on the opposite side of Irvin.

Who’s cut?

The players who will be cut are Branden Jackson, Alton Robinson, and Marcus Webb. The players who will make the roster are Benson Mayowa, LJ Collier, Darrell Taylor, Eli Mencer, and Shaquem Griffin.

There will be 7 pass rushers on the roster which will be unusually high, but Griffin is considered a linebacker and there are some other circumstances that will help guys make the team. If Collier and/or Mayowa are cut their guaranteed salaries will make it not worth it.

Darrell Taylor and Eli Mencer also have too much talent to be cut, plus Mencer and Griffin can help on special teams. For the cuts, Jackson will be able to find a practice squad role elsewhere and Robinson will be signed to the Seahawks practice squad. For Marcus Webb however, I’m not sure the same can be said.
