Rounds 6 and 7

After the Kam Chancellor pick, the Seahawks had three more. None of the players were very impactful and only one played more than a couple of seasons with the team. One of the three just played one game.

Round 6 Pick 185: Anthony McCoy: C

Why is tight end Anthony McCoy a C player? Because remember, he was sixth-round pick and just making a team in the NFL is difficult enough. McCoy, though, did play in all 16 games in the 2011 and 2012 seasons. He started 14 of those games. He caught 31 passes in his Seattle career and 3 touchdown passes.

McCoy wasn’t a bad player, he just lacked speed and was not a good enough blocker to stick long in Seattle.

Round 7 Pick 236: Dexter Davis: D

Davis was a linebacker out of Arizona State who was a potentially good pass rusher. He did actually have a sack, two quarterback hits and two tackles-for-loss in his rookie season with Seattle, and he played in 15 games in 2010. After 2010, Davis appeared in just one more game for Seattle, though. He was mostly a special teams player.

Round 7 Pick 245: Jameson Konz: D-

I can’t really give Konz an F. He made a team in the NFL a seventh-round choice and recorded a tackle. We should all be so lucky. Konz played in one game for Seattle in 2011 and tore his ACL on kickoff coverage. He was released by the Seahawks before 2012 and because of various other injuries never played again.
