Seattle Seahawks training camp is officially underway, as of Monday. The article goes over three defensive players who are sitting on the roster bubble.

The Seahawks training camp is officially underway. Pete Carroll believes competition drives organizational success. This year, unlike others, will be highly favorable toward veterans vying for a roster spot.

The NFL nixed all pre-season NFL games. The ramp-up period to get pads on is nearly 3 weeks long. Teams are going to have to cut their players without ever seeing them in a real game environment.

This gives veterans a healthy leg up on making the roster. Undrafted free agents have an especially tough situation to make the team. They would need to show the team in mostly unpadded practices that they have lots of untapped potential. So much so, that the team simply cannot take the chance on getting them on their practice squad.

This doesn’t mean that veterans are a shoo-in, however. There are still a handful of players who could find themselves on the roster bubble come the 53-man roster cuts. Whether it be for a cap saving maneuver or purely due to other players showing out at the position.

Let’s take a look at three of the Seahawks defensive players who could find themselves battling for a roster spot.
