The Seahawks linebackers have always been a great group and now they add a 1st Round Pick to the mix. Who are the 2020 Seahawks linebackers? Who starts? and who’s cut?

The Seahawks linebacker group has the two longest-tenured players on the roster, with KJ Wright beating Bobby Wagner by one year (And Wagner beating Russell Wilson by an hour or two). They now add the Seahawks first-round pick Jordyn Brooks to the mix, who was the first LB selected in the first round by the Seahawks since their current LB Coach, Aaron Curry, was selected 4th overall in 2009.

With the departure of Mychal Kendricks, recent cut of 2019 practice squad member Sutton Smith, and addition of Jordyn Brooks, the Seahawks linebacker group sits at six members going into camp. The members not yet mentioned, who all have a chance to get regular playtime, are Cody Barton, former Washington Husky Ben Burr-Kirven, and fan-favorite Shaquem Griffin.

There’s also a new addition, yet familiar Super Bowl XLVIII champion, Bruce Irvin, but I focused on him in my defensive end position preview as DE is where he will be spending most to all of his time even though he is listed by the Seahawks as a linebacker.

Shaquem Griffin will also find himself in a similar territory as his main opportunities in 2019 came in the form of pass rush, but with his versatility, experience as a linebacker, and the fact that he will be active on gamedays for special teams, he might be able to get some opportunities due to injuries as a linebacker.

So let’s get to the breakdowns.
