Who starts?

This one is pretty obvious but there are a few things to consider. First, let’s get this out of the way: Bobby Wagner will be the starting MLB, no doubt about it. Aside from that, it is a little tricky. KJ Wright is coming off of offseason surgery but there has not been much news about it recently, which I would take as a good thing.

So, it looks like KJ will be ready to go, but if he is not Jordyn Brooks will be playing alongside Bobby Wagner. Next in line would be Cody Barton, as he was the next man up on the depth chart last season.

When the Seahawks are in base defense (three linebackers) and Wright is healthy, it will be Wagner, Wright, and Brooks, with Brooks taking most of the run-stopping and blitzing side of things as opposed to KJ’s excellent pass coverage. When the Seahawks have a slot corner on the field, like Ugo Amadi, Marquise Blair, or new addition Jamal Adams, it will just be Wagner and Wright on the field for most snaps.

Who’s cut?

Well… nobody. The Seahawks have had six linebackers on their roster for the past few years, and with the current group standing at six, I see this year being no different.
