The Seahawks have more talent on their 2020 roster than they had in 2019. But there are three important issues that could keep them from being truly good.

The Seahawks have a good team for 2020, at least they do on paper. But like any NFL team, there is a very thin line between health and happiness and injuries and sadness. But other things could hold Seattle back from reaching its potential. And don’t get me wrong, Seattle has Super Bowl-level potential this year.

I am not going to mention what happens if Russell Wilson gets injured. That is a worst-case scenario and I shudder to even think about how bad Seattle would be without him. Last year Seattle might have won four games. This year, maybe five.

Another item I don’t have on the following list is head coach Pete Carroll’s sometimes incredibly awful time management at the end of halves and games. The NFC West is very good and Seattle plays a lot of good teams in 2020 and one or two slip-ups in time management could easily cost the Seahawks one or two games and cause them to miss the playoffs.

But let me give you one positive paragraph amid all the negativity. Seattle is loaded at linebacker and in the secondary, also at running back. Seattle receivers are pretty good with a lot of depth at tight end. The special teams are also good at kicker and punter. So, there are a lot of reasons for hope among 12s for this season.

But here are three reasons to worry.
