The Seattle Seahawks enter the 2020 season a healthy group, not missing any proven productive players.

The Seattle Seahawks have one person not on the injury list who can never go on the injury list. That person is Russell Wilson. Wilson hasn’t missed a game and has missed just two practices in his career. He didn’t miss the practices because of injury; He missed them because of funerals. If Wilson were to ever get injured, Seattle would be a far lesser football team.

And yes, I am aware that just by mentioning Wilson never missing a game I am risking the chance of jinxing the fact that he has always been healthy. But just by mentioning the jinx, I am anti-jinxing it. See!

Anyway, going into week one of 2020 the Seahawks, like most other teams, are pretty healthy. Seattle won’t have any players who will just miss a week or two. The players Seattle has that are dealing with being hurt are more lingering injuries.

Darrell Taylor

Darrell Taylor was drafted in the second round of the 2020 draft. He has been dealing with a leg injury he suffered in college. He appears to have over-rehabbed and is dealing with the effects of this. He will be out until at least week 7, but hopefully, by then he will work his way into the pass rush rotation.

Colby Parkinson

Colby Parkinson broke his foot in offseason workouts. He will have a tougher time seeing the field this year as the Seahawks currently have four tight ends on the roster, each of which are veterans are decent players.

Phil Haynes

Haynes has a hip injury. He was placed on Injured Reserve. However, since he was placed on IR before final roster cuts were made, he could return at some point this season. Haynes might be counted on to be a starting guard in the future.

Phillip Dorsett

Good news! The Seahawks offseason acquisition at slot receiver should play in week one. He has been dealing with a foot injury but seems good to go. If fully healthy, his speed will help take the pressure off of wideout Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
