The Seahawks and Patriots play in week two and here are some bold predictions.

Both the Seahawks and Patriots started the 2020 season with a victory. New England broke in Cam Newton by having him run the ball 15 times and throw 19. Clearly, the New England offense will be different than it was with Tom Brady.  But Seattle’s defense is different as well.

With the addition of safety Jamal Adams, Seattle played a bit more aggressively against the Falcons. There is no reason Seattle cannot continue acting more like the 2014 version of the unit than 2019. In fact, Seattle needs to use Adams in ways that are unexpected.

So what are some things that will happen when the Seahawks play the Patriots on Sunday Night Football? Here are five bold predictions.

A special teams turnover will help determine the outcome

The Seahawks seem to have at least temporarily moved on from returning punts and kicks. In week one, Travis Homer returned kicks and David Moore did the same with punts. Moore looked decent doing so. Neither of these players will do too much on Sunday.

But Seattle will force the Patriots to fumble a punt in the third quarter that will tip the game. Seattle will have a narrow lead after a Patriots touchdown and Seattle will then be forced to punt. But after Michael Dickson kicks one high and far, the Patriots will attempt to return the ball and fumble. Seattle will recover and score two plays later.
