Jamal Adams gets an interception

Jamal Adams made quite the impression on 12s in his first game with the Seahawks. He was in on 12 tackles, had a sack, two tackles for loss and was just a menace to the Falcons defense. Sure, Atlanta threw for 450 yards but how many of them were meaningless? Most of them.

One thing Adams didn’t do in week one was get an interception. Don’t worry. That will happen in week two and it will happen in the first half. The pick will come on a short pass from Cam Newton. Adams will try to run it and fight for yards but won’t return the interception very far. Still, it will jumpstart the Seahawks offense.

Adams did get an interception against the Patriots last year when Adams was still with the Jets. He returned that 61 yards for a touchdown. Oddly, Adams has never had a sack against New England and he won’t get one on Sunday either.

Adams has never played on a team that has defeated the Patriots either. When he was with New York, he was on teams that lost six times to the Patriots. But Adams did have 10 or more tackles in three of those games and 5 passes defended. Adams was good against the Patriots but his teams weren’t good enough to win. Until this week.
