The Seahawks moved to 3-0 with a victory over the Cowboys on Sunday.

Well, golly, 12s. The Seahawks beat the Cowboys in a game they once led 30-15 and this was after D.K. Metcalf had fumbled a sure touchdown in the first half that would have made the difference even greater. Dallas came back to lead 31-30 and then Seattle scored with 1:47 left to take a 38-31 lead and that ended up being the final.

But just, I mean, people seriously. If you didn’t watch the game, good for you. It’ll save you a few days of your life. This contest was weird. If you slept through it and I told you that during the Cowboys last drive the most important Seahawk defenders were Alton Robinson, Shaquem Griffin and Ryan Neal (yeah, seriously!) you’ll just have to trust me because that is the truth.

You’ll also have to trust me when I tell you Russell Wilson actually had a slightly off game where he underthrew receivers several times and still managed to have 315 yards passing, five touchdowns, no picks and a quarterback rating of 130.7. He did and don’t let the raw statistics fool you. But Russ being Russ that is how great he has become. Even when he fails he succeeds because he’s the best player in the league.

Some odd Seahawks stats

Seattle had 10 quarterback hits (again, no joke), four sacks (I bold predicted it but didn’t think it would actually happen so I expect no credit) and half as many penalties (5 to 10) than did Dallas. But at the end of the game, is there not a 12 that didn’t appreciate the fact that Russell Wilson was their quarterback and not Dak Prescott?

Seattle didn’t come out of the game all smiles. Along the way, they lost Jamal Adams to injury (groin) as well as Damien Lewis and Jordyn Brooks. It’s a good thing they have an off week in week four (OK, they don’t – the Seahawks play the Dolphins but that’s pretty much like an off week) because Seattle might struggle to field a full team.

dark. Next. 5 edge rushers Seahawks should sign now

But a win is a win and while the second half was pretty ugly after the first Dallas offensive series, the Seahawks are 3-0 and could play even better. Well, not Tyler Lockett. He’s pretty great. (9 catches and 100 yards and three touchdowns because he’s a beast.)
