The Seahawks are going to blowout the Dolphins in week four, so says our staff.

The Seahawks have a really good offense so far in 2020. The Dolphins aren’t great defensively. But really, neither is Seattle. So who will win in week four when the Seahawks play the Dolphins in Miami? Here is what our staff thinks.

Seattle’s offense just keeps clicking. Russell Wilson is on a historic pace. Wide receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are dominating opposing secondaries. Meanwhile, Miami is allowing the 8th most passing yards per game at 266 a game. They are also allowing the 5th highest completion percentage at 71.8%. Let’s run through their QBs faced so far: Cam Newton, Josh Allen and Gardner Minshew. None of those teams have near the quarterback or receiver play Seattle has. I hope Seattle uses this week as a bye week for hobbled players. Keep Chris Carson, Quinton Dunbar, Jamal Adams and Damien Lewis all out to heal fully. I foresee a blowout.

The defense is going to be the Achilles heel of this team until they can add some real pass rushers. I’m not counting on Seattle’s defense stopping the Dolphins offense to be honest. On the other hand, considering how well Russell Wilson has done against the Patriots and Cowboy’s defenses, I have faith he will step up and carry this team to another win.

I find this prediction to be pretty obvious based on how the Seahawks have always played in these types of games and how both teams have looked this year. Russell Wilson will have a field day, but so will the Dolphins offense. It will be a high scoring affair similar to the Dolphins vs. Bills game earlier this season. It will be the kind of game where the Seahawks look comfortable the whole way through but the door will be open for the Dolphins late.

After a hard-fought matchup against the Dallas Cowboys that resulted in the Seahawks being on the winning side, they have a much easier matchup in the Miami Dolphins that’s still a year or two away from being contenders. The Dolphins could pull off an upset but would not bank on that happening. One thing that Russell Wilson should take notice of is the Dolphins revamped secondary in which he should maybe plan on relying on the ground more often than the air.

The Seattle Seahawks are now 3-0 for the first time since 2013. 12s around the world are hoping for the same end result of 2013 as the Seahawks were able to capture their first Vince Lombardi trophy. Right now there is no doubt that Russell Wilson is the MVP of the early season. Russ has been set free and has been “cooking” at will while throwing for an NFL record best, 14 touchdowns in just 3 games. Also, rookie DE Alton Robinson showed promise in his debut against the Cowboys as he made a couple of nice plays late in the game. It was also announced that DE Shaquem Griffin will be on the active roster for this game after “earning” his spot in last week’s game.

While it seems likely that the Seahawks will be without star Chris Carson and All-Pro safety, Jamal Adams, I have faith that this Seattle defense will answer the bell and have one of their best games yet. Keep in mind that this will be yet another east coast game for Seattle. I have the Seahawks continuing their impressive east coast streak led by none other than Russell Wilson who will throw for at least 4 more touchdowns.

The Seahawks can’t be quite sure which Miami team they’ll face Sunday. Will it be the turnover-happy Fish who lost to the Pats 21-11? The Phins who gave up 523 yards to the Bills in a 31-28 loss? Or the Dolphins that throttled the Jaguars 31-13? Both New England and Buffalo are pretty good, while Jacksonville is…let’s say mediocre. Miami is better than their 1-2 record. Relax; that doesn’t mean I think they’re better than the Hawks. Fitzpatrick is a pretty good quarterback, but he’s inconsistent. As for defense, Miami ranks 10th in the league in points allowed but has only prevented one red zone TD in eight attempts.

I think the staff is right. Seattle should win. But I don’t think it will be a blowout because we have all learned that it must be in the Seattle franchise by-laws to keep every game close – no matter how good or bad the opponent is – and cause 12s to lose days off their lives. Seattle will win but they will probably give up 400 yards passing again. The Seahawks will take an early lead and Miami will find a way to come within a touchdown by the end of the game.

Next. 4 cornerbacks Seahawks should sign today. dark
