Three impressions from Seahawks week four victory over Dolphins
By Lee Vowell
The Seahawks defeated the Dolphins in week four and here are three impressions from the game.
The Seahawks moved to 4-0 on the season with a victory over the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday 31-23. It wasn’t exactly the prettiest of Seattle’s wins this year, but a road win at 10 am in the extreme heat of Miami for a Pacific Northwest team will be accepted no matter the score. Seattle resides in first place in the NFC West.
There was a lot to take away from the game. Quarterback Russell Wilson seemingly wasn’t at his best as the offense seemed a bit out of sync at points but Wilson was still great (as usual). Chris Carson may have been Seattle’s most important offensive player as he was able to grind out yards when needed.
Defensively, Seattle got a good first half performance from undrafted rookie Ryan Neal who was forced to start because of injuries to Jamal Adams and Lano Hill. Neal finished with a combined six tackles, two passes defended including a first quarter interception on a tipped ball.
Shaquill Griffin played well for the most part too with a key second half interception and a perfect deflection of a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass that would have gone for a touchdown. And rookie Alton Robinson had another tackle for loss and deserves more playing time as he is quick and appears difficult to block.
But here are three deeper impressions from Seattle’s defeat of the Dolphins from week four.
