David Moore supplied two turning points in the Seahawks victory over the Dolphins in week four.

Tyler Lockett is really fast, really quick and knows how to get open. D.K. Metcalf is a physical freak who catches passes from Russell Wilson and makes magic happen. But the Seahawks might not have beaten the Dolphins in week four if David Moore doesn’t make two extremely good and important plays.

In fact, Seattle had two turning points in their week four victory, not one. And both belonged to David Moore. One came at the end of the first half when Moore caught a deep throw from Wilson and set up a touchdown on a 21-second drive. Miami had cut the score to 10-9 and had all the momentum. Seattle needed points and then this happened.

Moore managed to outsmart a Dolphins rookie corner and juke him into thinking something else was afoot and Seattle turned this into a throw and completion that set up a touchdown going into halftime. Miami had cut the score to 10-9. At halftime, it was 17-9. This changed the tenor of the game.

Second half

David Moore only caught three passes against the Dolphins. But those three receptions went for 95 yards and a touchdown. Moore average 31.7 yards a catch in week four. So far in 2020, Moore has caught 10 of the 11 passes Russell Wilson has thrown his way. That’s good stuff.

But no throw was bigger than the corner route that Moore caught to make the score 24-15 in the fourth quarter for the Seahawks. Wilson called the plays the whole drive as the headsets went out for Seattle.

Seattle seems to keep every game close. But that’s OK most of the time. Russell Wilson is good enough to win a lot of close games. And with the help of David Moore, Seattle was able to move to 4-0 in 2020.
