Running backs

. Seattle Seahawks. RUNNING BACKS. A-.

Last night, the Seattle Seahawks were once again without halfback Carlos Hyde, as he is dealing with a shoulder injury. Our lead back was Chris Carson, with Travis Homer getting multiple snaps in as the backup.

The Seahawks run game never fully got going. Mainly, because the Minnesota Vikings defense was dominant in the first half. In the first half, the Seahawks scored 0 points and only gained a handful of first downs, while the Vikings dominated the time of possession with long drives.

Being down 13-0 at the half, the Seahawks still had time to establish the run. Chris Carson – like always – was running hard last night and had an impressive 29-yard touchdown run to put the ‘Hawks up, 21-13. Carson finished the game with only 8 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Travis Homer had 3 carries for 14 yards. Russell Wilson also had over 50 rushing yards, as he was seemingly running for his life last night. But, all in all, the running backs did their part when called upon. They just could not have had as good of a game as we expected due to the circumstances of Seattle getting behind.
