The Seattle Seahawks play the Arizona Cardinals in week 7 of the 2020 season.

The Seahawks week 7 game was moved to Sunday Night Football. Like every other Seahawks game, it should be a nerve-wracking contest that comes down to fourth-quarter heroics. Let’s hope that those heroics continue to be done by Seattle players.

Both teams have dynamic quarterbacks – the Seahawks Russell Wilson, of course, and the Cardinals Kyler Murray – with dynamic receivers. Both teams can run the ball well. So whichever defense plays best will decide the outcome.

To help preview week 7 of the Seahawks season, I asked 5 questions to Scott Allen, Expert at FanSided’s Cardinals site, Raising Zona. Here are his answers.

Kyler Murray

12th Man Rising: Kyler Murray is still learning his way. His mechanics aren’t great passing but he is a beast when he runs. How do you see him in year two compared to his rookie season?

Scott Allen:  I believe it’s still a work in progress. The Cards so far are taking what they’re given.  They exposed a hole in the Dallas run defense and took advantage of it.  Murray may not get the passing numbers every week but he’ll still have his games and moments in the air.

Cardinals 2020 defense

12th Man Rising: The Cardinals lost Chandler Jones but looked great against the Cowboys. How much better is this Arizona defense in 2020 and why?

Scott Allen: Seattle is the litmus test.  Both the Jets and Cowboys the past two weeks have been inept on offense, left points on the field. So despite the numbers, I need to see the Cards defense put up the same numbers against an offense like Seattle’s before I completely buy into it.

Unknown yet impactful Cardinals

12th Man Rising:  Who are a couple of Cardinals that 12s might not know (other than, of course, the former Huskies they have on the team) who will make an impact in week 7?

Scott Allen:  Don’t sleep on LB Haason Reddick. He’s underwhelmed a bit the last couple of seasons but has started strong this year.  Then LB Dennis Gardeck.  He is a special steamer mainly.  But he got a sack two weeks ago on his first professional snap on defense ever.  Dude plays with outstanding heart.

Good surprises for Cardinals

12th Man Rising: The Cardinals were expected to be better this year but at 4-2 they may be even better than people thought. What are a couple of happy surprises that have come out of the roster development and production so far in 2020?

Scott Allen: Well, I’ll take 4-2.  They should have beaten Detroit but they fell short at the end.  The only game they never seemed to be in was the loss to Carolina,  which could still come back to bite them.  However, Arizona had a nice win on opening day against a healthy 49ers squad and then blowouts the last two weeks have been fun.  Demolishing the Cowboys on MNF was extremely fun on every level.  I’m very happy to see Reddick find his way and am loving the running game with Kenyan Drake, Chase Edmonds and Murray.

Who wins in week 7 between the Seahawks and Cardinals

12th Man Rising: Who do you see winning between the Cardinals and Seahawks and why?

Next. 3 bold predictions for Seahawks-Cardinals week 7. dark

Scott Allen: Well the Cards for whatever reason don’t play well against the Seahawks in Arizona.  And then look like a completely different team in Seattle. 2012 is still the only time Russell Wilson has lost (in Arizona) and that was Wilson’s regular season professional debut.  I certainly believe it’ll be closer than last year in Glendale but still think Wilson will be Wilson and do his thing.  Seattle 31 Arizona 27.
