Three recent trades Seattle Seahawks should have never made

Jamal Adams trade prior to 2020 season
OK, I know it’s way too early to say this is a bad trade but I am just going to be proactive here. Jamal Adams is a great player and seems to be a good teammate. But he also, like every other human ever, wants to get paid for the quality of his work. Adams will be a free agent after 2021 and wants an extension done prior to next year.
Let’s take the worst-case scenario because unfortunately, this scenario is just as possible as any other. In this case, Adams is unhappy that an extension doesn’t work out before next year and holds out. When he does come back, he gets injured soon thereafter. Then Adams leaves in free agency after 2021 and Seattle is left looking for a long-term answer at safety.
Meanwhile, those two first round picks that Seattle traded to the New York Jets end up turning out to be pretty good players that maybe Seattle would have had. Or at least those are two picks that general manager John Schneider would have turned into more picks and now Seattle doesn’t have a chance to do that.
One problem is that Jamal Adams has played well this year but he also hasn’t played most of the games. Adams has played just 2 1/2 games this season and could miss week 8. If so, he would have missed 64 percent of 2020. Availability is a skill and Seattle could be running out of time to have Adams as a member of the team.
