Jalen Ramsey

The Rams have a star cornerback in Jalen Ramsey but the Seahawks have two good wide receivers in D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Ramsey and the Rams coaching staff will have to decide who he’s better off covering whether it be Metcalf or Lockett. Regardless of who he covers, that will leave one of the wideouts with weaker coverage which opens up the opportunity for a big game.

If Ramsey focuses his attention on Metcalf, Lockett could be in for a big game like he had in Week 7 against the Cardinals. In that game, he got 200 reception yards on 15 catches with three touchdowns.

In the case that Ramsey decides to cover Lockett, Metcalf could be in for the lions share of targets which could pave the way for a huge game for him.

With how it’s been in recent games for the Rams, opposing quarterbacks don’t often throw to the receiver that Ramsey is covering because of how good he is. While this is true, an experienced quarterback like Wilson may be willing to risk throwing to whoever Ramsey is covering.

Wilson is one of the more accomplished and experienced quarterbacks across the National Football League and knows how to read defenses.

Say Ramsey is covering Metcalf, he may give him specific routes to run to attempt to expose the cornerback’s weaknesses and have his wideout open to get down the field. It will be interesting to see how the wide receiver that’s being covered by Ramsey is utilized.
